FAQs about Plants

 We start our ordering process in beginning of February by taking pre-orders for mid-May.  This allows us to grow only the plants we need and a few extras.  Once we have your order, you are welcome to contact us or we will contact you for pickup in May (which is usually around Mothers Day). In the time in  between, we're germinating, transplanting, caring for, and hardening off  your plants until they're ready! 

 We try to have everything ready for you in mid-May, right around Mother's Day. 

However, if you are a last minute shopper, you might be able to get your plants right away but not always the variety you would like. 

Since we live in Virginia and the weather is very  unpredictable, we try to schedule the week before and after Mother's Day for pick-up. We contact our customers via email, facebook, or the good old fashion telephone call. This all depends on the customer preferred method of communication. 

If you need us to make a special trip to your home, there might be a small charge to cover gas. at best! 

We hardened your plants off before they arrive at your home. We recommend within 72 hours dependent on the weather. Check to see if the outside temperature will be dropping below 42 degrees.

We try to use CowPots for each of our plants. CowPots is made out of cow manure which is beneficial for the ground and your plant. Most of the time, just rip the bottom of the pot of and place it in the ground or your pot. You're done. 

The short answer is no.  We will use Neem Oil as an insecticide, fungicide, and/or  bactericide.  

Neem oil is organic, biodegradable and non-toxic. It’s  safe for people, pets, bees,  or other area  wildlife.
